After:
I love the way it turned out! The stain and paint really brought out the detail in the molding.I also had picked up a wood medicine cabinet. I gave it the same treatment as the shelf.
Before:

I wanted to put it in our newly updated bathroom but it was too big! So, my daughter and I took it to my booth at Curious Cat.
You know how when you move one thing around, it triggers an entire makeover? That is what happened yesterday. We spent a few hours rearranging the booth so I wanted to show you all how it looked when we were finished.
I just finished the star pillow sitting in the blue basket. I forgot to take a picture of it!
I have to put some more goodies on my new shelf. I had run out of "tweak" time by the time we had moved things around. You know, you really never have enough "tweak" time anyway!
Have a great day!
Nicole

Those two things turned out perfectly prim. Too bad it didn't fit in your bathroom. Hopefully you can find a piece to fit in their and use that technique on too. :)
ReplyDeletePerfect prims and blessings,
Stacey
Everything looks great! You have my dream job!
ReplyDeleteMandy
Nicole, everything looks great!! I can't wait to get to the Market and see it all, Janna
ReplyDeleteIt looks great. I use this same technic alot too. I have never tried the tan though. I have been dry brushing a apple green glaze into the crackles this week and I am loving it on candle sticks and such. Your booth looks great. I only rented free standing shelves for my booth. We have a waiting list for booths at the store I wanted in so for now I have 4 shelves with peg boards in the backs and 1 foot of floor space. I am always excited to see what sold. It's fun and I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! Tarheel fans are ALWAYS welcome! Is it a coincidence that you came over the same day as Artsy Fartsy from Waxhaw? I was wondering if you knew each other? If not, you can go to my followers list, and she is the one that is right before your profile photo. Pretty wild, huh? I love that shelf! I just need to make some time to come down to Monroe! :O) Drop by anytime. I'll add you to my blogroll!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to visit your shop, I'm going to get a map and see how far apart we are. You have some beautiful things there :)
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
